Monica Nolan - Lois Lenz & Bobby Blanchard

Lois Lenz, Lesbian SecretaryMonica Nolan has written a few books, but her greatest achievements are two 'pulp' lesbian romance books - humourously and intentionally cliched takes on mid-century girls only schools, sexy secretaries and all the trademark characters of classical so-terrible-you-love-it lesbian pulp fiction. Except with sweet hilarity and spot-on parody, rather than 1950's stereotyping.

Lois Lenz, Lesbian Secretary is a funny, sweet lesbian-filled, Nancy-Drew type parody. It's not as racy as the cover and title suggest, and the characters are generally nice at heart. It follows inocent Lois Lenz, who takes a job in the big city as a secretary for a cutthroat company, only to discover that girls have been mysteriously disappearing from the boarding house she stays in.

Bobby Blanchard Lesbian Gym TeacherIn Bobby Blanchard, Lesbian Gym Teacher, Nolan really gets into her stride. Bobby takes up the post of gym teacher at a school where the majority of the teachers and any number of the students have secrets to keep - in most cases, it's an eye for the ladies, but in at least one case, it's murder. Yep, this wholesome, exclusive girl's school is not only full of lesbians, but has its very own murder mystery!

Both books have been very well recieved - check out the Amazon Reviews for each book if you don't believe me!
