Award-winning Lesbian Graphic Novels

Awards for lesbian graphic novels tend to be given out either in the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards Best Other Work category, or the general Lesbian and LGBT book categories of the Lambda Literary Awards (usually under Fiction or Memoir/Biography). The GLAAD media awards have a dedicated comic book category.

Unfortunately, comics and graphic novels as a category tend to miss out a lot. The Lambdas mainly focus on novels and non-fiction - 'real' books - and the GLAAD awards are very, very limited to the mainstream superhero comics. The Gaylactic Spectrum Awards are a bit better, often naming comics in the 'Other Work' category, but this section is small and television shows, anthologies and films often crowd out graphic novels.
